It is time ladies and gentlemen! We are ready to get things started with the latest WSOP Tournament of Champions. Late last night, John Morgan Petro secured the final ticket to today’s Tournament of Champions, when he took down our $1,100 buy-in $50,000 Guaranteed Event, where first place ended up being more than the guarantee! Petro took home $56,787, defeating Andrew Ostaphchenko heads up. You can view a full breakdown of the final table below,

Just like the previous eliminations, heads up play was done and dusted very quickly. On the final hand, Hattori Lopez raised to 1,100,000, and Shengang Cheng reraised it, Lopez shoved ,and Cheng called with [Kh][Js]. Lopez showed a dominating [Ac][Kc], and amazingly, the hand was over after the flop came down [10c][9c][8c] to give Lopez
On the first hand of three handed action, Juan Lomeli open shoved on the button for about 8,000,000, and Hattori Lopez called with [10h][10c]. Lomeli was dominated with [Qc][10d], and he caught some help on the flop of [Ac][Kd][7h], as a jack would win for him now too. However, the [2s] turn and the [7c]

On the very next hand, Safiya Umerova would get her chips in preflop holding [Kd][7s], and she was called by Juan Lomeli, who showed [10h][8h]. The flop of [5s][3h][2c] didn’t bring much action, but the [Kh] turn certainly did. It gave Umerova top pair, but Lomeli a flush draw, and the flush came in on

Hattori Lopez shoved all in preflop with [Ah][5h], and Carlo Rodriguez tanked in the big blind for about two minutes before calling with [As][7s]. The flop came down [8s][5h][2h], and Lopez took a commanding lead. He managed to hold and double up, and then the two got it all in again on the next hand.
