After the elimination of David Baker in third place, Wesley Haymond and Nick Grippo wanted to take a look at numbers for a chop. After Grippo secured a little bit extra, a deal was struck.

Grippo will take home $262,000 even, but the first place title, the Remington, and most importantly, $279,450, will be going home with Wesley Haymond. Primarily an online player, Haymond has just $38,000 and change to his live poker tournament resume, but that will be getting a huge boost after today.

Congratulations to Haymond and Grippo for their impressive runs in this event, and we thank everyone who came out to play. Remember that the 2024 LAPC isn’t done yet, as we still have our final event, “The Remington 2” kicking off tomorrow, with the Day 2 finals on Sunday. Come join us!
