On the last hand of this level, Alfonso Timoteo would raise to 50,000 from under the gun, and Nick Grippo was the lone caller on the button.
The flop of [Ks][9d][6h] saw Timoteo lead for 75,000. Grippo called, and then he would call a 200,000 bet from Timoteo on the [Ac] turn. The river brought the [7s], and Timoteo emptied the clip, by moving all in for about 500,000.
Grippo took a look back at his cards, and wasted little time in announcing call, before tabling [Ad][9c] for two pair. Timoteo could only muster up a bluff, [Qc][Jh], and he hit the payout desk in 4th.
It was quite an impressive result for Timoteo, who finished just short of the 3rd place showing he had in this event last year. With that, Grippo is up to two million, and firmly in second place three handed.
