Ali Shahni rode the short stack for quite a while, but his luck finally ran out, and it was his familiar foe Shiqi Zong who finished him off. Shahni would shove from the small blind with [As][3d], and Zong called in the big blind with [5s][5h].

Shahni was left nearly drawing dead after the flop came [Js][8s][5d] and though he paired up the [Ad] turn, it wasn’t the card needed to keep him alive. He will take home nearly $100,000, while Zong strengthens his chip lead over David Baker and Juan Hernandez.
